Ready When You Are, with Accessories The DJI RS 3 Standard/Combo includes the newly redesigned RS 3 gimbal stabilizer, which is even lighter and more compact than the Ronin RSC 2, weighing just 2.8 lb and supporting a payload of up to 6.6 lb. This robust gimbal can handle and stabilize a Sony a7S III or Canon R5 with a 24-70mm zoom lens attached. It boasts a larger full-color OLED display, a new fine-tuning knob, and improved stability, making the RS 3 an essential addition to your compact camera kit. The Combo kit also includes an updated Focus motor, a motor rod mount kit with a gear strip, a briefcase handle, two multi-camera control cables, and a lens-fastening strap.

Quick Release Plates The dual-layered quick release plates on the RS 3 make mounting a camera fast and easy, eliminating the need to rebalance the gimbal after changing the battery or memory card.

Automated Axis Locks When powered off, holding the power button unlocks the three axes, and the gimbal expands automatically, ready for use in just two seconds. Pressing the power button once locks the axes and puts the gimbal into sleep mode, enhancing mobility and storage efficiency.

Wireless Shutter Control Utilizing Dual-Mode Bluetooth, the RS 3 supports wireless shutter control, saving time and effort. After the initial Bluetooth pairing, you can control video and photo shooting by pressing the stabilizer’s record button. Previously paired cameras automatically reconnect, removing the need for a control cable.

Integrated Controls The newly added fine-tuning knob on the tilt axis allows for millimeter-precise adjustments, making it easier to balance the camera when changing lenses. The new gimbal mode switch lets you quickly alternate between Pan follow, Pan and Tilt follow, and FPV modes, with FPV mode customizable to 3D Roll 360, Portrait, or Custom. The front dial can control zoom or focus and be customized to adjust the camera’s shutter, aperture, ISO, or gimbal movements, allowing for convenient single-handed operation.

Third-Gen RS Stabilization Algorithm Powered by a next-generation stabilization algorithm, the RS 3 provides 20% enhanced stability over the RSC 2, effectively handling low-angle shots, running scenarios, and quick position changes.

Super Smooth Results With Super Smooth mode enabled, the RS 3 increases motor torque to enhance stabilization further, ensuring stable footage even in fast-moving scenarios or with 100mm-equivalent focal lenses.

1.8″ OLED Touchscreen Compared to the black-and-white screen of the RSC 2, the RS 3 features a 1.8″ OLED full-color touchscreen with an 80% larger display. It supports most Ronin app settings, offering intuitive and precise control with a redesigned user interface.

Monitoring on Smartphone The RS 3 supports the Ronin Image Transmitter (formerly the Ronin Raven Eye Image Transmitter) to transmit 1080p30 HD live feeds to a mobile device. The maximum transmission distance is 656 feet, with end-to-end transmission latency as low as 60 ms. A smartphone can be attached to the NATO port on the RS 3 with the phone holder for wireless monitoring.

Integrated Monitoring and Control You can remotely adjust camera exposure through the Ronin app or control the gimbal with the virtual joystick for an integrated monitoring and control experience. The Ronin Image Transmitter allows a smartphone to act as a motion controller for the RS 3 gimbal, enabling more flexible and dynamic camera movements.

Enhanced Battery and Fast Charging The new RS 3 battery grip features a cartridge design for easier battery swaps and compact storage compared to the RSC 2. It can be charged separately from the gimbal and offers up to 12 hours of runtime. It supports 18W PD fast charging, with a full charge in just 2.5 hours, and can be used while charging for continuous power.

Intelligent Functions The RS 3 includes intelligent motion functions like Dolly Zoom, Motion lapse, Track, Time Tunnel, and Panorama.

New Briefcase Handle The redesigned briefcase handle is foldable for convenient storage and features an ergonomic handle for easier and faster installation and switching to Briefcase mode. It includes a cold shoe mount and 1/4″-20 mounting holes for connecting external monitors, making low-angle camera movements more intuitive.

All-New Focus Motor The next-generation DJI RS Focus Motor (2022) delivers three times more torque (up to 1 N·m) and 50% less noise, providing a smoother focusing experience with minimal audio disruption. Its quick-release structure allows for tool-free assembly for faster use.
